Earlier this morning, Waterloo Morada Fire District received a new Type 1 Engine from the Office of Emergency Services through the Governor’s Office. This new apparatus will replace the old OES Type 1 Engine but will still remain OES4122. Built by HME Ahrens-Fox this type 1 engine is equipped with a 1500gpm pump, 800 gallons of water and a 100gpm auxiliary pump, all powered by a Cummins L9 engine and Allison 3000 EVS automatic transmission. This engine will play a huge roll in the state mutual aid system as well as a reserve unit for our Fire District.
